Unemployment Insurance Statistics

Iowa’s Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund, Benefit Payments and Claims Data

Unemployment insurance (UI) statistics are used for federal workload reporting; determining triggers for extended benefits programs; describing the size and scope of the UI program on local economies; and as an economic indicator. Unemployment insurance trust fund statistics, trust fund solvency analysis and employer contribution statistics are also provided.

The characteristics data used in this report is based on claimants who filed a regular UI continued week claimed during the week including the 19th of the
month. This data is prone to seasonally.
